FOIL INSULATION

FLAT ROOF FOIL INSULATION

Why foil insulation ?

The story of one of the oldest sculptures began as early as 1835. Almost 100 years later, after the synthesis of BC from acetylene and hydrogen chloride, which created the preconditions for large-scale production of BC membranes and polymer raw materials of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the first sealing membranes could be produced. It was not until 1930 that the actual production and introduction of PVC as a raw material for mass consumption began. Approximately 20 years later, in the 1950s, the first PVC waterproofing membranes were made. Other combinations of plastics such as PIB sheets, BACF or EBA, ECB or PE-C, followed later and in the meantime achieved a high standard of quality.

On the other hand, rubber is often a natural product and one of the most versatile materials of all. In 1909, synthetic rubber was produced and vulcanized into usable rubber, from which today's roofing membranes are made, such as plastic, and in the meantime they have achieved a very high quality standard.

Foil sheets are suitable for all light roof substructures, whether it is new construction or renovation, but also for green roofs. Whether mechanically fastened or loosely laid and welded in hot air seams, foil insulation can meet the requirements of FLL guidelines, as well as protect your roof environmentally for decades.
